I’ve found a new ally in AI—my digital bestie.
Richard Baldwin at the 2023 World Economic Forum sparked debate with the now well-known quote - “It's not AI that is going to take your job, but someone who knows how to use AI might.”
My current use of AI is best explained by ripping off Baldwin.
“It's not me that can answer questions about my entire life/body of work in a nutshell, but someone who knows how to use AI definitely can.”
Yep, AI is just a tool. But how it augments us and makes work easier seriously impresses me. Like all new technologies, it will displace jobs. But freeing us up to do more creative and valuable things comes down to how we decide to use the tools and what we do with the freedom they give us.
