“I’ve always wondered why students don’t tend to organise global conferences. Not knowing any better, I decided to host one myself.
From developing branding concepts with The New Kid Collective, to onboarding world-class speakers, working on marketing strategy with Felipe Rocha Melhado and Leoni Fretwell, and brushing up my public speaking skills, this project has been all but amazing.
“Despite the many lows and uncertainties that came along, it has been an invaluable learning experience both building and hosting my first ever virtual event - somehow bringing together young creatives from Canada all the way to Australia.” Daiki Shinomiya
The conference brings together speakers from multiple industries to foster exciting conversation, including a filmmakers’ discussion, a panel of industry experts – from AT&T to Ogilvy – to judge students’ creative side hustles, and a speed networking event with students around the world. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a side project or startup to get their work out into the world!
The conference features the following events:
Pitch Your Side Hustle! 08:00 PDT / 11:00 EDT / 16:00 BST / 23:00 HKT
