DUTCH MEDIA WEEK Keynote speaker - 2024
On the 30th of September, I had the great fortune to work with the team at Dutch Media Week 2024.
Since 2014, the International Media Top Convention (IMTC) is an annual dinner/conference gathering for leaders in the Dutch media industry. This year, for the tenth edition, the top of the Dutch media business with a focus on broadcast/audiovisual content production/streaming are expected to be there again. Past keynote speakers include Jane Turton (CEO All3Media), Sir Martin Sorrel (Chairman S4 Capital), Sir Peter Bazalgette (Chairman ITV), Patrick Tillieux (CEO OSN) and so on.
My speech was at the dinner for The IMTC is held on Monday, September 30th on the event floor of the famous media museum Beeld & Geluid in Hilversum (Media Park). Host of the evening is Rick Nieman, former RTL news anchor and now working as a current affairs host for public service. Slightly more than 100 media executives form our audience every year, on invitation only.
Creativity is at the heart of all audiovisual content activities. Creatives are always in search of the ultimate, creating a blockbuster that achieves worldwide success. What is involved in developing such a format, what decisions must creatives make, how do they create something so unique? In short: how do you organise creativity? And what role can and should technology play (or not play)?
These topics, among others, will be discussed at the upcoming edition of the International Media Top Convention (IMTC), which celebrates its ten-year anniversary on Monday, September 30th. Several top speakers will shed light on these matters, including Stephen Lambert, the creative production genius from London, celebrated in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
